A great alternative to those who cannot tolerate peels and harsh topicals (or if your pregnant), microdermabrasion is a quick and virtually pain-free procedure (usually performed in conjunction with a facial) that uses tiny, rough aluminum crystals to vigorously exfoliate the top layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells. Directly after your treatment , your skin may look flushed or even pink, and over the next few days, you may experience minor flaking and dryness. But once the discolored skin has flaked off, new evenly pigmented skin will surface.
